Founding Physician

Gurbir S. Saluja, MD, FAAP, is a founding partner of Advocare Vernon Pediatric & Family Care. He is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric hematology and oncology, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Saluja was chief resident while completing his pediatric residency training at Queens Hospital Center in New York. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology and oncology at New York's Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center in 1975. Dr. Saluja received dual bachelor's degrees in medicine and surgery from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India.

Dr. Saluja is on staff at Newton Memorial Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital (Goryeb Children's Hospital) and St. Clare's Hospital. He was previously chief of staff and chief of pediatrics at two local hospitals, and served as school physician for the Hamburg School System for more than 20 years. Dr. Saluja has also been named a New Jersey Favorite Kids' Docs from New Jersey Family magazine multiple times.

Dr. Saluja and his wife, Manmohan K. Saluja, MD, who is also his partner in Advocare Vernon Pediatric & Family Care, have two sons.
